Johnnie L. Caldwell, Jr. is currently a State Representative for Georgia's House District 131, which includes Lamar, Pike, and Upson Counties. As a representative, Mr. Caldwell serves as Chair of the Appropriations Committee, on the Banking Committee, as Vice Chair for the Insurance Committee, as Sub-Committee Chair for the Judiciary Committee, and on the Motor Vehicle Committee. Prior to being elected as a representative, Mr. Caldwell was a judge and the district attorney for the Griffin Judicial Circuit. Mr. Caldwell graduated from University of Georgia and Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law. Mr. Caldwell is active in his community and church, and he is married to Rita A. Caldwell and is a father of three and a grandfather of six children.
