Johnnie L. Caldwell


Johnnie L. Caldwell, Jr. graduated from the University of Georgia and Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law. He has over 48 years of legal and trial experience, including 15 years as the District Attorney for the Griffin Judicial Circuit and 15 years as a Superior Court Judge in the Griffin Judicial Circuit. Mr. Caldwell also served as the State Representative of House District 131, which includes Lamar, Pike, and Upson Counties. Mr. Caldwell is admitted to practice in the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Mr. Caldwell specializes in criminal defense, personal injury, including car accidents, slip and fall, and other types of injuries. Mr. Caldwell also specializes in wills and estates, real estate law, and general civil law. In addition, Mr. Caldwell specializes in suing city and county law enforcement and governments for violating the constitutional rights of Georgia citizens. Mr. Caldwell also handles medical malpractice cases. Mr. Caldwell is married and has three children. Mr. Caldwell is active in his church and community.
